What is the time frame for a response back from this form? You should have a response within 24-48 hours
How will I hear back from you, phone or by email? By Email
Is there a guest minimum or maximum? 6 guests is our minimum and 250 is our maximum
How long will it take to secure my date? 1-3 days. We will pencil you in on the date requested. Once menu selections are made and the quote is approved by you, we will secure your date
How will I get invoiced once the date is set? Once your menu is set, we will email you the quote for you to approve
How do I pay the invoice for my meal? The invoice will be paid at the time of service unless it is a party of 50 or more which will request a 20% deposit. We accept cash, check or credit cards. There is a 3% processing fee for the use of a card
On the day of the event, how far in advance will the team arrive? The team will arrive an hour to an hour and a half before the event start time to set up and start cooking. For large events we will arrive about two hours before the start time
Do I need to set the table beforehand? Our staff will set the table. If you have special items that you would like us to use, please place them on the dining room table and we will set it up from there
How long will the meal last? From the start of canapes to the end of dessert is about 3 hours. One hour for canapes and two for dinner. However, we can move as slow or fast as the group would like
Do we need to call in a gate pass for access to Kiawah, Seabrook or Wild Dunes? We have a commercial pass to get on to Kiawah but would need a pass to get into Seabrook or Wild Dunes
How many items should we pick? For an in-home dinner of 6-12 guests, we suggest a plated dinner selecting 2-3 Snacks and Canapes, 1 First Course, 1 Entrée and 1 Dessert. For groups of 12 or more we suggest a buffet selecting 3-4 Snacks and Canapes, 1 salad, 1-2 proteins, 2-3 sides and 1 dessert
Do you provide the alcohol? We do not provide alcohol but are happy to make suggestions for wine pairings to go with the menu you have selected. Our staff would be happy to help assist guest with pouring wine and making cocktails if you would like. We just do not bring the alcohol with us
Is gratuity included? Gratuity is not included in our invoice but is always greatly appreciated
What if we have allergies or dietary restrictions? Please let us know at the start of meal planning if there are any allergies or dietary restrictions so our staff is aware of the needs

I have had the pleasure of working with Chef Travis Grimes as one of his farmers for many years. There is no question that Husk Charleston thrived under his expertise, talent, and creativity. Looking forward to working with him again at Iron Clay. That menu looks killer!!!

We used Iron Clay Catering with Meg and Alex on a golf outing with 4 couples. They were so fun and easy to have around. The food was beyond, especially the buttermilk fried chicken skewers and Flank steak. Meg made delicious drinks without being asked. We had Iron Clay for a dinner at a house our group rented on the Isle of Palms. Alex and Meg were just amazing! Everything provided from the passed appetizers to the 2 entrees and dessert were just excellent...just beyond delicious! They were so professional but so friendly and helpful with the entire evening. We also had 2 in the group who were GF and they provided for them seamlessly. I would highly recommend them and will use them again if I am in the area.

Iron Clay catered a dinner for 15 women renting a house on Isle of Palms to celebrate our 70th birthdays. The dinner was absolutely delicious, from the appetizers to the buffet of mahi-mahi, flank steak, grilled veggies, roasted potatoes to the lovely and light key lime pie for dessert. Meg and Alex were a pleasure to work with, so personable and accommodating to a few guests with dietary restrictions. The kitchen was left spotless and they even disposed of all the trash. A fabulous evening was had by all and I highly recommend Iron Clay for your next event- you will not be disappointed!
